Pearson College UWC

Pearson College UWC needs clear, consistent communication across its many audiences and publications. Through ongoing website support and publication design, I help organize complex information into accessible, engaging materials, so students, families, supporters and donors can more easily find and understand what matters to them.

The Challenge

As an international educational institution, Pearson College UWC communicates with diverse audiences across digital and printed materials. From practical student information to impact reporting and fundraising, each piece needs to balance clarity, accessibility and the College’s established visual identity.

What I did

  • Provide ongoing website maintenance, content updates and layout improvements.
  • Design and update student handbooks and College Profiles.
  • Design annual impact reports that bring together stories, photography and financial information.
  • Create fundraising appeal materials that communicate the College’s mission and impact.
  • Organize complex content into readable, visually engaging layouts.

The Result

Consistent, professionally designed communications that help the College share its story, present complex information clearly and connect with its diverse audiences across print and digital channels.

I worked with Nikola Bates for 6+ years in my previous role as Communications Director at Pearson College UWC, Canada’s only United World College and one of just 18 around the world. As a graphic designer and online content and website maven in a two or three-person communications shop, Nikola conceived of and created professional online and real-world design products with professionalism and high attention to detail. Nikola never hesitated to problem-solve when confronted with a challenge, often embarking on self-directed continuous learning initiatives to understand and implement innovative and cost-effective solutions on a limited budget. To complement her design skills, Nikola also wrote original copy tailored to the needs of specific audiences.
